Not only gathering world-leading institutions, the International Conference - Heritage Diamond 2026 hosted by Jemmia Diamond on May 23rd opened in-depth dialogues on the future of Vietnam's diamond industry in the context of global integration. The event is seen as a historical milestone for the journey of redefining Vietnam's diamond market based on transparency, international standards, and values that can be passed down through generations.
From a Consumption "Gray Area" to the Aspiration to Create Vietnamese Heritage Reaching the World
In the luxury world, the value of a diamond lies not only in its sparkling beauty but also in its absolute transparency. Unfortunately, many are paying large sums of money but are faced with a void in verifying origin and standards. The appearance of diamonds with questionable legal transparency, the act of tampering with certification codes, or the concealment of hidden flaws have deeply damaged consumer trust. When the boundary of truth is blurred, the diamond, originally considered a high-class jewelry and a legacy asset passed down to future generations, loses its true value, bringing unnecessary risks to its owners.
On the afternoon of May 23rd at Hilton Saigon, the International Conference - Heritage Diamond 2026 (Global Heritage Diamond Conference 2026) contributed to promoting new advancements for the domestic diamond industry. The event gathered over 100 guests including international experts, high-ranking diplomatic representatives, and domestic elites, marking the first time a Vietnamese brand has proactively created an international-level dialogue space.

He shared: "Connecting diamonds with the concept of heritage and family culture is the key to transforming luxury jewelry into a witness that preserves stories passed down through generations."
Agreeing with this perspective, Ms. Vuyiswa Tulelo, Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa to Vietnam, added her view: The value of the modern diamond industry no longer lies in raw resources but is defined by transparency, social responsibility, and global ethical standards.

"Modern consumers, they buy the peace of mind behind a beautiful diamond. They need absolute transparency regarding ethics and social responsibility (ESG) behind the assets they own," shared Ms. Vuyiswa Tulelo.
Concurrently, Mr. Saadi Salama, Head of the Diplomatic Corps, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Vietnam, also highly appreciated Jemmia Diamond's efforts – a prime example of proactively creating international dialogue spaces, gradually bringing Vietnam's market position into direct contact with major global diamond trading institutions and centers.

Frank Dialogues on the Billion-Dollar Diamond Industry
At the conference, the sharing from Mr. Fabio Cascapera, President of the Diamond Exchange of Singapore, received much attention, as he frankly stated that lab-grown diamonds currently have almost no resale value on the market due to the ability to produce them in large quantities at increasingly lower costs. This difference is why natural diamonds maintain and increase their investment value, despite global geopolitical pressures.

From an international grading perspective, Ms. Claudia D'Andrea, Director of Training and Grading Laboratories GIA Thailand, reaffirmed the value of natural diamonds through GIA's most stringent scientific standards, while also explaining the sustainable appeal of high-quality colorless diamonds from 0.5-1% and fancy color diamonds – an extremely rare segment, accounting for less than 2% of the total global production of gem-quality diamonds.

She also informed that, starting from October 2025, GIA will officially apply two separate reporting systems for natural and lab-grown diamonds. This is an important step to enhance market transparency and help consumers have more basis to identify and correctly assess the value of each type of diamond.

In addition to product quality, Mr. Raymund Chua, Advisor to the Board of Directors of Jemmia Diamond, further summarized a sharp philosophy on corporate culture: "In the luxury industry, customers don't just buy products. They buy trust and emotions through those products." This is why Vietnamese businesses need to strongly transition to standardized operating systems, applying artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance customer experience.
Vietnam is Gradually Establishing a New Position for its Domestic Diamond Industry
The thematic panel discussion chaired by Ambassador Pham Quang Vinh continued to open strategic exchanges on the future of Vietnam's diamond industry, from optimizing regional connectivity infrastructure, standardizing operations, to gradually forming a valuable knowledge base for users.

Experts unanimously agreed that Vietnam is facing an opportunity to become a potential link in the global diamond supply chain, thanks to the development of manufacturing capabilities, the domestic market, and a new generation of customers with increasingly high standards.
Beyond dialogues, the conference also recorded practical appeal through the successful auction of the High Jewelry Collection embodying national cultural depth, combined with Jemmia Diamond's unique diamonds.

The willingness of elites to own the collection at the event demonstrates strong resonance of trust and love on the journey to honor national identity – where the "Heritage Diamond era" officially opens with creations carrying the very soul of Vietnamese culture, with international-level craftsmanship and aesthetic thinking.
Concluding the conference, Mr. Lam Ngoc Cuong, Chairman and General Director of Jemmia Diamond, once again made a landmark commitment: The future of the diamond industry will not lie in low-value transactions but will be shaped by quality, scarcity, and the ability to verify origin. Combined with international-standard craftsmanship, each diamond creation will transcend material value to become an "eternal witness" preserving the most precious moments of life, across generations.

The International Conference - Heritage Diamond 2026 is not only an industry connecting event but also reflects Vietnam's aspiration to build a transparent diamond market, fully protect customer assets, and possess the capacity to create international-level heritage values.
